Sicilian red pesto
Extravirgin olive oil 51%, tomatoes 18%, almonds 12%, PDO Genovese Basil 8,7%,PDO Grana Padano (milk, salt, rennet, preservative: egg protein lysozyme) salt, garlic, oregano, majoram, antioxidant: ascorbic acid, acidity regulator: citric acid. May contain traces of nuts, celery and fish.
While it is still cold, pour the pesto into a mixing bowl, add a tablespoon of the boiling water and mix it together with the cooked and drained pasta. Before serving, you can garnish with some fresh basil leaves and marjoram.
Spaghetti is the best pasta for this sauce.
